About Art Caregiving

Jennifer Beetem founded Art Caregiving in Seattle in 2024 as a private practice art conservation studio. She began apprenticing in art conservation in 2018 and has trained in private practice studios and museum labs in the United States and Mongolia, including Seattle Art Museum and the Toledo Museum of Art. She is a Graduate Fellow of the Winterthur / University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation. She holds a B.S. in Art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a M.A. in Art History from the University of Washington-Seattle, and a certificate in Museum Studies from the Institute of American Indian Arts.

Art Caregiving offers on-site and in-studio services. Depending on the needs of a project, studio work will be performed in Jennifer’s home studio at Mt. Baker Artspace Lofts or in a specialty studio through her professional network.

As an artist, Jennifer is a carver, weaver, printmaker, sewer, and sometimes analog and digital illustrator. Her research interests include botanical pest management methods, climate change and bast fiber shrubs, mobile pastoralist preventive conservation strategies, original prints, and modernist magazines.
